This morning I read Ann's statement about this political season. Thank you Ann! She also reminded me of this video. I couldn't agree with you more.I believe that the Lord has great plans for each and everyone of us and our nation. And that His hand will guide the whole process. But let's keep this all in perspective, really.
There are a few things pretty clear to me:
The Lord's way to redeem this earth has to do with a Savior willing to live a humble life and die a cruel death rather than any earthly ruler.
The Lord can and does work through all kinds of government structures and earthly kingdoms, but none are His plan for salvation.
Jesus has promised to return and establish His Heavenly Kingdom someday (technically from Jerusalem and not DC).

Rock on. :) I was thinking about the line that says "when we can whisper right in that president's ear..." and realized that Christians seem to put so much more desire and faith into having an audience and ear with the president of the US than in the fact that we have the ear of God in our prayers! Sigh.
