Half a Year Old

I have been a mom for half a year! It is hard to believe that my sweet girl is 6 months old. I pretty much think she is the best thing ever. Here is a little 6 month update (for Granny!!).

Olivia Grace has some wild hair. She recently starting developing knots in the back of it, which her Daddy lovingly combed out today.

Olivia has lots of nicknames, mostly given by me. Some favorites are: Smo (as in SmoLivia), O, OGT, Boopie, and Boops. And whatever else comes to mind when I pick her up!

Olivia is stylish. Here she is seen rocking rainbow leg warmers, her Team Richard onsie and her favorite pacifier.

Olivia is happy. Pretty much the happiest baby ever. Take that Happiest Baby on the Block! I've got her and pretty much don't follow any expert advice besides love your baby and do what seems right. If she cries, it means business because she doesn't cry that often.

Olivia talks, laughs and plays. She also loves to eat. Her 6 month stats are 14 lbs, 3 oz. (16th percentile) and 26 inches (61st percentile). Tall and skinny, just like her Daddy.

Other things of note this month:

• Olivia loves squash and sweet potato. She is ambivalent about carrots and does not like avocado. She still nurses great.
• Olivia has settled into a pretty good routine with Daddy while I am working. The routine includes eating, sleeping, playing and going on whatever adventures Daddy dreams up such as goat sales and eating lunch at Subway. Ah the life!
• Olivia is more reserved when we are in public or around new people but she warms up pretty well. At home she is talkative, active and expressive.
• Olivia has rolled over a grand total of three times. But she is almost sitting on her own. Funny girl. Why roll over when Mommy or Daddy will carry you?
• Olivia is looking forward to a big family trip in June and to Mariela being here to visit for 6 weeks this summer.

Olivia you are totally amazing and I love being your Mommy! Happy 6 months of life sweet girl. We are celebrating because we are so happy you were born!
